Emergency Management Staff

The College’s Associate Vice President/Chief of Public Safety, Koren Kanadanian, oversees the training and drills for students, faculty, and staff; conducts simulated exercises; and carries out assessment and other related activities necessary to ensure that our emergency response plan remains flexible and effective.

With 25+ years of experience in local law enforcement, US Army and US Air Force, and the United States Department of Health and Human Services emergency response team, Chief Kanadanian has the operational experience to manage major critical incidents. Chief Kanadanian has also been a trainer/instructor for the Massachusetts Municipal Training Academy, FEMA and the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency. Chief Kanadanian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Western New England College and a Master’s degree in Emergency Management, Terrorism, and Homeland Security from Anna Maria College.
